The collaboration between the Sannio-based company and the popular pageant has begun: it begins with a visit by Miss Italy to the plant.
Montesarchio (BN), April 23, 2026 – The poetry of Olio Dante meets the beauty of Miss Italia: this year, the brand of the Supreme Poet becomes a sponsor of the popular pageant, which has crowned Italy’s most beautiful beauty for 80 years.
The partnership was sealed yesterday when Katia Buchicchio, the reigning Miss, visited the company’s facility in Montesarchio, in the province of Benevento, a 50,000-square-meter facility in the heart of the Sannio region (in the photo above Miss Italia 2025 together with the General Manager of Olio Dante S.p.A., Carlo Bassano di Tufillo).
Olio Dante and Miss Italia thus unite, sharing something more than a Made in Italy label: both have been part of the collective memory of Italians for decades and have deep roots in the region. Both convey an idea of Italy that never ceases to fascinate the world, and starting this year, they will do so together, creating a perfect synergy.
Olio Dante has officially become a sponsor of the Miss Italia Pageant, with the title of “Official Oil of Italian Beauty”. Indeed, authentic beauty cannot be separated from well-being, rooted in the Mediterranean Diet—an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO—of which extra virgin olive oil has always been a cornerstone.
The partnership will be realized not only on the stage of the finals but also with a social media project that transforms the aspiring Miss Italia contestants into ambassadors of flavor. Indeed, the most original and ambitious part of the agreement will be Olio Dante’s role in “Miss Italia Cucina in Famiglia”, a digital project that has all the makings of a viral sensation, and not just among the traditional pageant audience.
The idea is as simple as it is effective: the aspiring Miss Italia contestants from every region of Italy, paired with their mothers, grandmothers, or other family members, will create a short video in which they prepare a typical recipe from their region, using Olio Dante. No artificial scenery, no distance from reality: just home kitchens, aprons, hands kneading dough, genuine smiles, and the aroma of dishes that speak of a place, a tradition, a memory.
The result will be something unprecedented in the history of the competition: a gastronomic and emotional mapping of Italy, constructed from the bottom up, region by region. A living archive of traditional recipes, dialects, and handed-down gestures, all filtered through the gaze and presence of young women aspiring to become Italy’s most famous face. The aspiring Misses will thus become digital ambassadors of a tangible Italian identity, made up of aromas, flavors, and generational bonds.
The first major public showcase of this collaboration will be at Tuttofood in Milan, one of the most important and well-attended food and beverage fairs internationally. On May 12th, Katia Buchicchio, the reigning Miss Italia, will be present at the Olio Dante stand, presenting the collaboration between the two brands to industry professionals and international buyers.

Miss Italia is the longest-running beauty pageant in Italy. It was founded in 1939 under the name “5,000 lire for a smile,” and became “Miss Italia” in 1946, with the women’s vote and the birth of the Italian Republic. Each year, it is divided into hundreds of regional selections that take place in squares and villages throughout the country, culminating in the national final. The reigning Miss Italia is Katia Buchicchio.
